White Rose Foundation

The Foundation was created to allow for members, chapters, and non-members to be able to donate in Gamma Sigma Sigma’s name and receive tax-deductible benefits. It had been an idea of the sorority for some time as people have wanted to donate in memory of members who had passed away but had no way to do so.

The money will be used to:

  • provide scholarships/grants for Gamma Sigma Sigma members/chapters to attend service related workshops

  • provide grants for Gamma Sigma Sigma members/chapters to go on service trips and execute special service projects

  • provide donations may be given to special projects and organizations in the name of the Sorority, such as disaster relief

  • promote educational programs for members of the Sorority

Service Partners

Gamma Sigma Sigma chapters have partnered with national service organizations over the last few decades. Individual, chapter, and national projects are developed to provide a concentrated level of service to the nation. These national partners are many, though the longest standing partnership is with March of Dimes. Gamma Sigma Sigma chapters also recognizes partnerships with the American Cancer Society, Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, and the National Coalition of Homeless Veterans.

Along with our National Service Partners, our chapter has relationships within our Erie community.  We have volunteered with the ANNA Shelter, Soldiers & Sailors Home, Erie Art Museum, Erie Zoo, expERIEnce Children's Museum, Crime Victim Center, and so many more!!

National Day of Service

In 2011, the sorority established Gamma Sigma Sigma National Day of Service as a national event. Gamma Sigma Sigma members are encouraged to participate in an act of service on or surrounding the sorority’s Founder’s Day, October 12th. This year, all members are encouraged to serve within our National Service Partners and our Project I.M.P.A.C.T. areas. We hope many members and chapters join together to serve within these areas.
